The Divorce, Personal, and Life Transition Coaching sessions are in person, by phone, or (very soon!) online.
Divorce coaching – In the first session, we’ll go over your past and present situations and hopes for your new future
your recent life experiences, current situation, biggest challenges, joys, and a some of your goals. Although that introductory time often takes more than one session, we will set a modest goal for you to work on for our next meeting. It’s good to begin moving forward right away!
Phone and in-person session will be up to 60 minutes, with the last 10 minutes focusing on your “assignment” to work on before we talk again. Divorce coaching may last longer than that in order to cover all important, sometimes interrelated aspects of Preparing for Divorce

Preparing for Divorce Coaching
Ending a marriage is painful, whether your are the one leaving or the one left. The emotional turmoil can derail even the most intelligent, rational person. The legal process is confusing and increases our sense of vulnerability and even the language is unfamiliar.
In our divorce coaching sessions, we’ll go over where you are now, as well as some background for clarity, your friend and family support base, finding and talking to an attorney, what information you need to share with him or her, and how to prepare for separation. Then I’ll help you prepare a list of questions to ask an attorney in your initial phone call.
We’ll also work up two lists to take with you to your first session with him or her: one of questions, the other of vital information to share, especially about the marital financial situation. Such things as jointly owned small businesses, possessions that are kept in locations other than your home, and inheritances – past and future, don’t always occur to you during the emotional upheaval, but are vital to the legal process. I’ll prepare you to work more smoothly with your attorney. Ongoing supportive Divorce Coaching is available!
*SHIFT* Balanced Life Coaching
Is your life out of whack? Do the dreaded shoulds outnumber the joys and rob you of any sense of fulfillment and self-worth? Although there’s no magic wand, there are adjustments you can make to reduce the energy drains and build on the joys of your life. Together, we’ll look at your current life and its challenges and explore new approaches. A healthy, balanced life is rounded in ways that suit you – not some self-help guru or your boss! This coaching is all about lifting you up and helping you “shuck the shoulds” that weigh you down!
Our coaching will begin with a personal evaluation sheet on which you will score your life satisfaction levels in these 7 areas (see What is a Balanced Life article):
Health * Work * Creativity
Recreation * Relationships * Kindness * Inner Well-Being
Next, you’ll prioritize which of the lows you want to work on first, as well as the high numbers you can expand on. Our initial plans will become your assignment until the next coaching session. Between our sessions, you can email me about your progress and challenges, and I’ll guide you forward.
My coaching style? I’m a one-woman mentoring team, cheerleader, encourager and straight talker. I encourage and cheer. I don’t give you twenty lashes for not getting enough done. I’ll also guide you in exploring the Genuine You and nourishing that.
For most of us, encouragement and validation provide far better incentives that put-downs ever will.
“[Balanced-Life] Coaching sessions with Linda Senn have been very rewarding. |
*Who am I Now?* Life Transition Coaching
Life changes take many forms. Some are (or seem to be) permanent: retirement, death of a spouse, child or parent, divorce, a major move or job change – life is, indeed, about change. But all fill us with a huge loss of identity.
Even the most competent of us find ourselves dithering, stalling, living in spurts and stalls.
It’s not that we can’t figure out any way to move forward – we’re paralized by OVERWHELM!
Often without realizing it, we identify ourselves by labels as much as others do. You’re a wife, husband, mom or dad, an accountant or landscape designer, a church council member in the town I just moved away from. But not anymore. My life may be better or worse right now, but either way, I feel lost!
First, we’ll look at your former life and then note what aspects have actually changed (rather than just “feeling” different) and evaluate the positives and negatives about each. Some call for a celebration, while others can be brought into your new life in a little different way.
Next we’ll Those will be incorporated into a fulfilling Balanced Life plan for today and the future. Your social life, creative plans, and even your ways of developing inner peace may look different now. But with a little planning, it can become a time of happy, personal exploration.
